Liebster Award (2016)

I’ve seen so many bloggers do these over the years, even before I had an actual blog. I’ve always thought it was cool. I decided to do this post today because I’m hopefully having a really exciting day, as when you’re reading this I will be on my way home from work to have a lovely afternoon with friends and family! Which is why I don’t have any time to write a more meaningful and personal post! But this is going to be really cool!

I decided to do the Liebster Award because KTWRITINGS did it on her blog (which you should totally go and check out!) and left an open invitation to all of her followers, so I jumped on the opportunity to do it. It’s not as exciting as it would have been if I had been personally nominated, but it’s still exciting. I also understand how hard it can be to actually find people to nominate.

Anyway, let’s get into it!

3. I have an image of my dream body but I’m too lazy to actually work-out to achieve it

4. I’ve been reading books from the teenager section since the age of 9

5. I’m home-educated but hoping to go to sixth form (college) next year

14 questions:

If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

This is hard, I would say vegan meat burgers and chips but I currently can’t eat burgers because of my braces so if I was stuck with only eating that food for the rest of my life, immediately, I would starve to death. Maybe risotto because you can make that taste different with loads of different ingredients and I really like it.

Why did you start your blog?

I started my blog because it’s always been something I’ve wanted to do but until recently I always had run everything by my Mum and she would always ask me what I would post about and she wanted me to name a specific topic but I couldn’t because that’s not the kind of blog I wanted. I started it when I did because it just felt like the right time and I was ready to commit to it. I’ve always been one of those people that really likes to talk about what they’re thinking, and just to talk in general and to have a place where I can do that without any criticism and no need to monitor what I say as long as I’m not insulting or upsetting anyone. I’ve always wanted to share my life and experiences with others, hopefully to inspire them to do things in their own lives but just because I think the internet is a great thing and we should take full advantage of it and share our lives with others because it’s really insightful and interesting.

What would you do if you won the lottery?

Depending on the amount of money: I would buy my Mum her dream house, my brother a boat, something for my sister, save money for UNI and then donate the rest to charity.

Do you believe in love at first sight?

I’m not sure, falling in love at first sight I think isn’t really falling in love, as your first sight of someone you know nothing about them or their personality. There’s I guy I know who probably doesn’t even really know I exist but I remember the day I first ever saw him and I’ve liked him ever since, but I know nothing’s ever going to happen and there are certain things he does and ways he behaves that aren’t really things I approve of. So although from first sight I liked the look of him and have liked him ever since, I knew nothing about the actual person he was back then and still don’t really know much now.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?

I really like my hometown where I live at the moment, but I don’t think I would want to live here forever. Maybe London or America as they’re the best places to be for aspiring actors!

Do you believe in God? Why or why not?

I don’t want to insult or upset anyone but I’m just going to answer this question honestly. I don’t believe in God, there are many reasons why I don’t but the main reason is that everyone says that God created this world and he has control over everyone’s lives and what happens to them and there are all these quotes that tell you not to be sad if something has happened to you because good is planning something great for you but, if God really can control the lives of everyone and what happens in the world I don’t understand why he lets all these people suffer. I walk around my town and see so many homeless people and other countries are so poor that a child dies every 3 seconds from dehydration and people get convicted and tortured for crimes they didn’t commit and if God really does control everything, why does he let all these people suffer like this? So I don’t believe in God because of that.

Are you a planner or are you spontaneous?

I am definitely a planner, I write so many to-do lists and I have a calendar both on my phone and hanging in my room and I already know what UNI I want to go to when that’s not even for another three years. I write lists of what I’m going to do with friends when they come over. I definitely wish I was much more spontaneous though…

What brings you the greatest joy in life?

I was actually planning on doing a post about happiness later on in the week. There are so many things that bring me joy in life, both little and big but I guess the thing that brings me the greatest joy in life is being lucky enough to have such amazing friends and family. My life just wouldn’t be the same or as good without all their continuous love and support, they all mean so much to me.

What is a piece of advice you’d like to share?

This piece of advice is inspired by Taylor Swift and her song Never Grow Up which is a really emotional and meaning song for me. It’s basically a song about not wishing your life away and desperately waiting to grow up because once you are grown up you’re going to wish you were young again with not a care in the world, unaware of all the terrible things that happen. But the most important piece of advice in this song for me, is not to be embarrassed or try to distance yourself from your parents as you grow up because as you grow up and experience all these new and exciting things your parents are actually coming to the end of all these new and exciting things and they’re in fact getting old too and one day they won’t be there for you. So my advice is to always appreciate, respect and enjoy time with your parents if you can because they won’t be there forever.

What is something we’d be surprised to know about you?

I almost died when I was only a few months old because I had a really bad cold and stopped being able to be breathe in the middle of the night and had to be rushed to the hospital in an ambulance.

What 3 words describe you best?

Excitable, enthusiastic, happy.

What’s your spirit animal and why?

Lion: the lion wins the prize for most relentless fighter in the face of life challenges. The lion spirit animal represents courage and strength in overcoming difficulties.

The presence of this power animal could also mean that something “wild” or difficult to control is happening. As such, lions symbolizes emotions that are difficult to manage, such as anger or fear.

Favourite movie and why?

My favourite movie is LOL starring Miley Cyrus because I feel like it just shows you what life is like being a teenager, all the confusions and difficulties. Trying to understand who you are as a person and your own emotions and feelings for others. It’s just a great film. I don’t think it gets really dramatic and things are put in just for the wow factor, I feel like it’s just a film about teenagers going through high school, experiencing things for the first time and I just love it! If you had a chance to do one thing irrespective of what anyone had to say about it what would it be?

I’m not sure, as I usually have lots of support and encouragement from the people surrounding and involved in my life so there isn’t really anything. I guess maybe get a tattoo? But I’m not even sure if that’s what I would want. I think a small cute meaningful tattoo could be quite cool but I can’t really have tattoos and things if I want to be an actor as you kind of have to be a blank canvas. I’m not sure.
